Sangha
Shri Vijay Mahantesh Vidya Vardhaka Sangha is one of he premier educational organizations of North Karnataka which was established in 1963 with the sole objective of providing higher educations to the wards of the poor parents who could not afford to educate their children by sending them to the far off places. Bearing the luminous name of Pravana Tapasvi Chittaragi Shri Vijay Mahantesh Shivayogi, the Sangha has been enriched by the blessings, patronage, and sacrifices and dedicated service of many a great individuals.
It is benevolently sponsored by His Holiness late Shri Guru Mahant Swamiji of Chittaragi Samsthan Math, Ilkal, the Sangha;s First August President and blessed by His Holiness late Jagadguru Dr. Gangadhar Rajayogendra Mahaswamiji of Moorusaviramath, Hubli. It was most affectionately fostered by the stalwarts and statesmen like late Shri S.R. Kanthi, the illustrious son of Ilkal, then the Honourable Minister for Education, late Shri P.M. Nadagouda then the Honourable Minister for Co-operation and Panchaya Raj.
With the blessings from the earlier benignant president Poojya Shri Ma. Ni. Pra. Mahant Swamiji and Present benignant president of society Poojya Shri Guru Mahant Swamiji of Chittaragi Samsthan Math, Ilkal, the Sangha is progressing fast. During four decades it has established many institutions importing variegated educations and training to the thousands of students. The educational activities of Sangha have now spread from Kindergarten to so many technical educations, despite many turmoil’s and tribulations.
Thousands of youth whose career and future have been shaped by the schools and colleges of the Sangha are now serving the community and the country in various sectors.
