Facilities
O.P.D Facility: The hospital runs with 7 OPDs like Kayachikitsa, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, Prasooti Tantra & Stree Roga, Koumarabhritya and Atyayeeka Chikitsa where the concerned specialists provide consultancy to the patients. Nearly 150-200 number of patients avail these facilities every day.
I.P.D Facility: The 120 bedded hospital is running with all the basic facilities. The Undergraduate students get practical knowledge in various subjects in the hospital. Panchakarma: Equipped with the latest generation of Panchakarma instruments the department offers specialized procedures like Avyanga, Sarvanga Sweda, Sirodhara, Sirovasti, Pizichill, and other panchakarma therapies under the supervision of specialized expert doctors and well trained and experienced staff. A large number of patients are getting the benefit of the panchakarma Therapy with high success rate. Shalya Tantra (Surgery): Yet another special branch offered by the Hospital. This department specially deals with “ Kshara Sutra Technique” which is the most popular ancient method of surgery for ano-rectal disorders such as Piles, Fistula-in-Ano, Fissre-n-Ano, Anal Prolapse Prolapse Rectume, Anal Polyps, Anorectal Abcess etc. Other complicated surgical procedures such as fracture, Trauma, Agnikarma, Lech application etc. also are managed successfully. Diagnostic Facilities at Hospital: X-ray Unit, Ultra Sonography, E.C.G. etc. are available with well export technicians. The pathological laboratory of Hospital is well equipped with different modern advanced machines for quicker and more accurate analysis of the samples. I.C.U: One most advanced Intensive Care Unit has been established to take proper care of seriously ill patients. Other Facilities at Hospital : A dedicated and round the clock Ambulance facility to the referred patients. The Security guard service for the security of the patients. Power generator service in the event of electricity supply failure are available.

 Home Shri Vijay Mahantesh Ayurvedic Medical College of Shri Vijay Mahantesh Vidya Vardhak Sanghs’s Ilkal is one of the premier Institution of Ayurveda in the North Karnatka, with a view of giving knowledge of Ayurveda to the rural part of Karnataka, it was established in 1992. Earlier it was affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad now after the commence of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore in 1996 it got affiliated to it, Since then the intake capacity of student increased from 30 to 50, and college & hospital are well organized on the basis of the rules & regulation according to C.C.I.M. New Delhi. FROM PRINCIPAL’S DESK: Ayurveda is proved as ancient medical Sciences of this earth, which accomplishing the physical, mental, social and spiritual excellence i.e. the complete state of health to the human beings. Now the Ayurveda is being looked by the entire world as an alternative system of medicine due to ill effect of materialistic activities of the mankind. Ayurveda has a great treating importance among the other contemporary medical sciences in treating the chronic diseases, neurological diseases, autoimmune and de generative disorders. The unmatched qualities of Ayurvedic principles, philosophy and treatments which cure the disease without any side effects and complications, is the global need of this area. Ayurveda is now spreading world wide due to its holistic approach towards health which is rightly said as wealth. Ayurvedic institutions are the roots to propagate and globalize the glorious heritage and message of Ayurveda. In this context the S.V.M. Ayurvedic Medical College is a premier Ayurvedic institution in North Karnataka, which was established in the year 1992 by S.V.M.V.V. Sangha, with a broad amition to popularize this system of medicine in this locality. Our college has developed the unique hospital i.e. R.P.K. Ayurvedic Hospital with all the basic needs and infrastructure besides incorporating the modern contemporary techniques for clinical evaluation and medical managements, We have not compromised with the quality of teaching and treatments. We are proud of our well-experienced and qualified teaching staff, Physicians and Para medical staff. Due to their efforts our students bagged third rank in 1993 and 1996 and first rank in the year 1999 respectively from Karnataka University, Dharwad. Again we are proud for our excellent sports wing, which has produced a number of University Blues in different games and sports. By the unscene blessings of Param Poojya Shri Vijay Mahantesh Swamiji and his holiness Ma. Ni. Pra. Chittaragi Shri Vijay Mahantesh Swamiji, Ilkal our institution is climbing the ladder of progress day-by-day.
